Now Offering CBT-I for Insomnia

A type of cognitive behavior therapy that treats insomnia specifically, CBT-I combines relaxation training with restructuring thoughts, feelings and behaviors contributing to poor sleep patterns. Clients will keep a nightly sleep log that they will share with their therapist for evaluation. CBT-I is considered effective for both short term and chronic insomnia.

CBT helps clients recognize and challenge negative thought patterns. You will learn how to reframe negative thoughts into a more positive light and develop healthier coping skills. CBT works for anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, anger management and more. You can expect to gain the tools you need to help solve life's daily problems.

Trauma-informed Care

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is used specifically to treat trauma and PTSD. In the course of about twelves sessions, clients will learn about changes in beliefs that happen after experiencing trauma. Issues about safety and trust, power/control, self-esteem and intimacy may be addressed. Clients will learn how to evaluate upsetting thoughts around their trauma and find better ways to handle them.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) uses meditation, relaxation and awareness exercises to help regulate your nervous system and be in the present moment with greater ease. It has been proven to lower anxiety, depression and the somatic symptoms of stress on the body. Clients can expect to learn exercises and strategies they can use in everyday life.
